The 2001 Conference was held at the College of Ripon and York St. John, which was voted the "Conference Venue of the Year" in the York Tourist Awards.
 
Nominations for this award came from organisers and delegates and comments received included "Beautiful and well kept venue"; "Friendly, helpful staff"; "Good facilities"; and "Smooth efficient service"
