Condolences Book - Derek Kitt, NAME Chair 2004/2005

We continue to mourn the loss of Derek Kitt, who died suddenly on November 21st 2005. He made an invaluable contribution to music education over many years and was an inspiration to all who have been privileged to work with him. His passion for music education and for the young people of Cornwall and beyond was reflected in the NAME 2005 conference which he led so superbly. Delegates will treasure poignant and vivid memories of Derek at the Sage Gateshead. He will be sorely missed and we send our condolences to his family, in particular to Rosemarie, Ben and Jessica. Derek Kitt Memorial Fund

Donations in memory of Derek Kitt may be made to the Derek Kitt Memorial Fund. The Fund's aim is to set up a trust to help young musicians in Cornwall. Cheques should be made payable to "Cornwall County Council Derek Kitt Fund" and sent to Rosemarie Kitt c/o NAME Administrator, Gordon Lodge, Snitterton Rd, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3LZ.
